Lombard Bank Malta is implementing a new internet banking system from IND Group, a Hungarian front office solutions vendor. It is a greenfield implementation for online banking services, says Geoffrey Tedesco Triccas, head of IT at the bank. The system was selected in-house, based on three main criteria – functionality, track record and price. Triccas also cites familiarity with the local market as an important factor.
The contract was signed at the start of the year and the project is currently in the product specification stage. IND's team will manage the software design, implementation and integration at the bank. Go-live is scheduled for Q3 2010, says Triccas.
